Go to your Profile Settings / Edit My Profile,

Under "Your Options", under "Profile" , select "Manage Facebook Connect".

Click on the log into Facebook button and click about 648 "allow" buttons. Eventually you do make it back to the forum alive. After that, you will be presented with a dazzling array of tick boxes. You can choose to have your status updates from Facebook show up here or vice versa, you can import you Facebook avatar and more! Just note that it does only sync once every 24hrs.
For Facebook fans, we have lots of new ways to indulging your 'liking". The first thing to be aware of is that when you link the forum and Facebook, it will show your real name in the box on the front forum page - but only to people who are already your Facebook friends. And you have to be logged in to Facebook to see the updates there on the forum. It's magic! I've tested out a few of the settings to make sure they are ok privacy wise and it looks pretty good. As with all things, if you don't feel comfortable about it, you don't have to go there! And you can at any time revoke the link between Rockpool and Facebook.
Once you are all linked in with Facebook, you will see on the bottom of forum topics that you can like a topic on Facebook. Make sure you give the page time to fully load and then look at the bottom of the page.
When you scroll right down to the bottom, above the social media buttons on the left hand side you have a "Facebook Like" button. This is the topic I tried out "Liking" on Facebook. I felt it was a topic that would interest a wide range of homeschoolers and would help to promote Rockpool Homeschool in a positive way. Events would be another great thing to share. It provides a Rockpool icon, a link to the forum topic and a truncated first sentence as a preview on Facebook.
Once you've "liked" or "shared" (with the social media button) something on Facebook, mosey on over to the front forum page and check out the right hand column. Under our Status updates, we now have a box called "Recent Facebook Activity". You can see here what is being shared. If you scroll back up to status updates, you can see a tick box now for sharing your update on either Facebook or Twitter as well. And if you scroll back down (mousercise?) and click on the "see all status updates" link, you will see the updates that I have made in Facebook and Twitter which have posted back onto Rockpool Homeschool. That's here,
