OK, so a few people have asked this. Firstly you have all the forum jargon which is pretty common across the www, but added on top of that is all the home ed jargon, good fun.

Can I have help to make a master list? I'll put down all the ones I can think of and you can add to it, I'll sticky a new master list when we are done.

General

DS/DD/DC Dear daughter/Dear son/ Dear children
DSS/DSD Dear Step son/daughter
DH/DW/DP Dear Husband/Dear Wife/Dear Partner
XH Ex husband
eta edited to add
HTH Hope that helps
MIL/FIL/SIL/BIL Mother/Father/Sister/Brother In law
ROFL Roll on floor laughing
LOL Lots of laughs/Laugh out loud
kwim?/iykwim know what I mean?/if you know what I mean
fwiw for what it's worth
jm2c just my 2 cents
ATM At the moment
IME In my experience

Bumped for Bella. :wave2:

Hmm, this didn't format well in the changeover. I'd love to tidy it up a bit but I've got.... to go fold some clothes. :pardon:

Thanks so much for the explaination of all the acronyms, greatly appreciated. One question though, what is PM? In the rockpool not back to school day it says to PM you, I assume this means post message. In any forum? I don't see where I should post when I am reading the info.

Sorry I never really bothered with forums before, didn't realize how useful they were.
TIA
Joan

Hi Joan :)

PM stands for Private Message. You can click the little envelope picture under someone's name and that will let you send a message just to them.

Hope that makes sense :)

Oh yipee thanks for this!

OK now I'm going to do some reading to find some things i don't know the meaning of, and bring them back to here.

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is the three RRR's.????
