That is TimeLine Fair. Two days of historical re-enactment fun open to the public in Berwick. November 20-21, 2010. This is the vision of the TimeLine Fair Committee. We are building a timeline of groups, designed to showcase all the historical recreation groups in Victoria and surrounds.

On this weekend, we are inviting the public to witness the spectacles of jousting, sword fighting, belly dancing, and children’s activities; to view and interact with the various displays presented by historical groups who will be portraying periods from the Bronze Age to Modern Times. We have confirmed bookings from wandering minstrels, Frojel Gotlandica, the Society for Creative Anachronism, Praxis, Black Forest Dance Group, Latrobe University Historical Group, The Free Company, Inc., Preussenreise, Southern Cross Free Trappers, Frojel museum, a museum with arguably the largest private collection of Viking artifacts in the Southern Hemisphere, Days of Knights, Frontiers Living History group (18th Century American Frontier Trading post), Dubh-Linn Viking, Raven Forge and associated blacksmiths, various traders, jesters and jugglers, weavers and spinners, and storytellers. We are also hoping to have performances from groups like the Scandinavian Choir of Melbourne, flight demonstrations from Birds of Prey, archery demonstrations, pony rides, jumping castles, dancing, and games including Kubb and Throw-The-Cod as well as dozens of activities for the public to view and participate in.

Between the hours of 10am and 5pm, the Fair will be open to the public, and there will be displays, various events and entertainers as well as club and history displays, during this time there would be re-enactors in the campsites and displays doing what it is that they do best - bringing history to life.

Imagine the fun and learning that your students could have at this fair. Children are the cornerstone of tomorrow's history.
